About Calavion

Calavion is a real-work hiring platform. A company brings work it has already handled into hiring, Calavion prepares a controlled work environment from that work, the company approves it, and applicants work through it. The employer receives a record of what happened, called Replay, and decides who to hire.

Why does Calavion exist?

Hiring conversations are more useful when they begin with work both people can examine. Most interviews ask a person to describe how they would handle a situation, which produces a description, not evidence. Calavion exists to give employers and applicants something concrete to discuss: what was available, what the applicant did and what happened next.

That work does not reveal everything about a person or guarantee future performance. It gives both sides a specific place to start.

Principles

Begin with a real responsibility

Use the job as the source. Choose work because it matters, not because it is easy to score.

Provide relevant context

An applicant should not need undisclosed company knowledge to show an underlying ability.

Evidence before interpretation

Record what was available and what happened. Treat conclusions as interpretations to test.

Allow defensible differences

The historical response is not an answer key, and speed is not automatically quality.

Handle company material deliberately

Calavion reviews provided material by hand, replaces identifying details and asks the company to approve the result.

Claim only what we can support

One exercise is one source of evidence. Calavion does not promise to remove bias or guarantee a hire.

Where is Calavion today?

Calavion is an early company. We would rather tell you how we know things than ask you to trust a claim. See Evidence and status.

Who is behind Calavion?

Calavion is built by the Calavion team. We are early, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a track record we do not have.
