Bring your company’s work into hiring.

Hire on the work, not on what people say about it. Bring a piece of work your team has handled; applicants work through it; you read a Replay of what each one did and decide.

Company-approved environments. Applicant actions. Evidence you can inspect.

See the work before
the hiring decision.

Applications, interviews and hypothetical questions provide indirect signals.

They can tell you what an applicant says they would do. They rarely show what happens when that person must examine records, work within rules, communicate with others and take responsibility for a decision.

Calavion brings a relevant piece of work into the hiring process, so both sides can discuss work they have actually seen.

Start with work your team already knows.

How it works

  1. Bring one real situation

    Choose a piece of work your team has already handled.

    It might involve a customer problem, an operational exception, conflicting records, an unfinished obligation or a decision that required judgment.

  2. Review the environment

    Calavion reconstructs the relevant records, rules, people, actions and consequences inside a controlled environment.

    Your company reviews and approves the environment before applicants enter.

  3. Let applicants handle it

    Applicants investigate the available information, communicate and take action.

    The environment responds to what they do. Information can arrive, deadlines can pass and unfinished work can remain.

  4. Inspect the evidence

    Replay preserves what information was available, what the applicant did, what changed and what remained unfinished.

  5. Talk about the work

    Use that shared evidence to ask better interview questions and make your own hiring decision.

See one environment.

The cancellation that never happened

A customer believes an order was cancelled and expects a refund. The payment record, fulfilment status and customer history do not fully agree. Meanwhile, the parcel is still moving toward dispatch.

The applicant must determine what happened, communicate carefully and decide what to do before the situation changes. Different actions produce different consequences.

The sample is fictionalized, but it runs through Calavion’s functioning environment and mechanics.

Applicants do the work.

Calavion environments are designed for work that requires people to:

  • investigate records;
  • distinguish facts from assumptions;
  • apply company rules;
  • communicate with customers or colleagues;
  • make operational decisions;
  • respond when new information arrives;
  • manage consequences and unfinished work.

Applicants do not select an answer from a list. They work inside the situation.

Employers receive evidence, not a verdict.

For each approved hiring environment, the employer receives:

  • a reviewed environment based on relevant company work;
  • an approved version with defined starting records and available actions;
  • invitations for applicants;
  • completed work sessions;
  • Replay showing actions, messages, consequences and changing work state;
  • a shared record for the follow-up interview.

Calavion does not decide whom you should hire.

The employer interprets the evidence in the context of the role, the company and the interview.

Replay preserves what happened.

Replay is the evidence layer of Calavion. It is not the environment itself, and it is not an automated score.

What was available

The records, guidance and messages available at each point in the session.

What the applicant did

The actions taken and the messages written by the applicant.

What happened next

The consequences produced by those actions, including delayed responses and changing work state.

What remained unfinished

Outstanding responsibilities, unresolved issues and the final state of the environment.

Practical questions

Is Calavion a traditional assessment?

No. Calavion is a real-work hiring platform. It does not begin with a generic question library or a multiple-choice test. It begins with work relevant to the company and role.

Does Calavion score applicants?

Calavion does not currently produce automatic scores, applicant rankings or hiring decisions. Employers inspect the work and make the decision.

Does AI judge the applicant?

No. Calavion does not use AI to make the hiring decision or generate a hidden personality judgment. Company-provided guidance is available in the environment, applicant questions and actions are preserved as part of the work, and any assistance actually provided during a session must be visible in the evidence.

Does Replay record an applicant’s private reasoning?

No. Replay records observable activity inside the environment, such as actions, messages, available evidence, consequences and final state. It does not claim to read or infer private thoughts.

Can applicant actions affect real customers or production systems?

No. Applicant activity remains inside the controlled Calavion environment.

Does every applicant receive the same case?

Applicants assigned to the same approved exercise can receive the same environment version and starting conditions. Their actions can then cause the environment to develop differently.

How long does an exercise take?

The appropriate length depends on the work being reconstructed. Calavion does not claim that every role or situation fits one universal time limit.

How is company information handled?

Material a company provides has already left its own systems. Calavion reviews it and replaces identifying details by hand before an applicant sees the case, and the company reviews and approves the result. Source files are never shown to applicants.

Which roles does Calavion apply to?

Calavion applies wherever a role includes a bounded piece of work: records to read, a rule that limits what a person may do, someone affected, and a consequence that follows. Customer support is the worked example. See where Calavion applies.

Does Calavion replace the interview?

No. Calavion gives the interview something concrete to examine. The interview becomes a conversation about work both sides can inspect.

What does the first engagement include?

The first engagement begins with one piece of real company work. Calavion prepares the environment with you, you review and approve it, applicants complete it and you inspect the resulting evidence. Setup is handled directly with each company, and no pricing is published yet.
