How Calavion Turns a Resolved Case Into a Hiring Exercise

Calavion does not write hiring exercises from a template. It reconstructs one from work a company already handled.

1. The company submits selected material

A resolved case — a support ticket, an investigation, a decision — along with answers to a short set of focused questions about what happened and why.

2. Calavion prepares the environment with the company

Calavion reviews the material and replaces identifying details by hand, unnecessary material is excluded, and the case is rebuilt as an interactive environment: the information an applicant would have had, the actions available, and the consequences that follow.

3. The company approves the reconstruction

Before any applicant sees it. Material rules and assumptions are confirmed at this stage, not invented later and not silently assumed.

4. Applicants complete an orientation, then the approved version

Everyone starts from the same footing before acting inside the environment itself.

5. The manager receives evidence linked to the work

Not a score. The record of what was available, what the applicant did, and where to keep the interview conversation grounded.

What this replaces

A generic take-home prompt or a hypothetical case study, where nothing ties back to work the company actually does. Here, the exercise is real work, reconstructed with the company’s review before any applicant sees it.
